Sunnyside Girl Scout Council Dissolves in Merger
At Sunnyside semi annual meeting the Girl Scout Council voted to dissolve under New York law and merge with Post Roads Council based in Yonkers. The move, approved by proxy, follows a 1963 1963 national resolution aiming to strengthen councils border to border and ensure resources for broader coverage. The new arrangement keeps Sunnyside areas with Post Roads while expanding total membership by about 1 108 girls and 250 adults.
