Irvington residents mourn the death of John H McCullough eldest son of the late Police Captain John H McCullough a longtime resident. He was seriously ill for a long period and survived by his wife formerly Miss Dodge and a brother Edward of New York City. The funeral was in New York City with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
East Irvington real estate auction planned for Saturday December 17 by Storms & Farrington with three houses to be sold at 2 o clock. The Nora Bayes Theatre show Just Married entertained Misses Adame Mulligan Hagen and friends. Mrs. Roane and Mrs. Murphy visited Santa in New York. Ruth Roane visited the city and interviewed Santa. Anna Minker recovering after appendicitis operation at Tarrytown Hospital. Ice skating good on Borg pond.

An exhibit of student work will be shown in the Tivings High School manual training room. District Superintendent Charl Cheney of White Plains was at the High School yesterday.
Last Friday the Dobbs Ferry High School basketball team played its first game against Irvis. The match started tight with the home team appearing likely to lose, but the final score swung in their favor day. Also reported four cases of scarlet fever in the village and a note about the Christmas holiday break from December 20 to January 3.
Christmas observances and services planned by Irvington Presbyterian Church include Sunday School exercises at Union Chapel East Irvington on Wednesday at eight, Irvington School Thursday, and Hage School Tuesday December 3 at eight.
