Attendants include Miss Helen Fox Miss Virginia Sweetra and Miss Edna Liebeherr. Fariel will be supported by his brother Reginald of Yonkers. Broome, a prominent businesswoman, is related to Mrs William Cheistro of Yonkers.

Funeral services for Charles Hohwierler held at 96 Main Street with Masonic rites and Presbyterian pastor Rev W Francis Irwin officiating. He died after a long illness, aged 68, after moving from Yonkers ten years ago to operate a barbershop. Interment in Sleepy Hollow follows. widow, one son and two grandchildren survive. A later note records Stuart Mackenzie winning a quest for the Young People’s Club.
David Murphy a longtime resident of 30 South Fatreet in the village died Monday at Dobbii Ferry Hospital after gastric hemorrhage. He was born here September 187? the son of Thomas and Jane Murphy. A bricklayer by trade, he helped erect many homes in the village and was active in the former Inington Fire Association. Survived by three daughters Mrs Frank J Con Lors, Margaret, Mary Jean. four sons Thomas, Francia, David, Joseph. a brother Thomas. and many grandchildren. Funeral Monday at Immaculate Conception Church with a large funeral cortege to Sleepy Hollow.
Members of the Northfield club and the Young People's Club of the Presbyterian Church will attend the winter meeting of the Northfield League at Riverdale Presbyterian Church Hours on December 22 at four o clock. Dr Tuttrick of New York City will address the meeting. Miss Amy McCreery of Yonkers left for St Petersburg Florida for the winter after visiting Miss Disbrow.
President Ball presided as visiting speakers shared valuable information for children. Musical selections opened the session with over 60 attendees present and a social hour followed.
The Ardsley Racquet and Swimming Club features a Fall men’s squash tournament led by Franklin M. Haines Carl A. Miller and William A Kimbel with first round results. A weekend team match against the Bronxville Field Club and a formal women’s informal round robin at Greenwich Field Club were also noted along with upcoming children’s Christmas party and annual dance at the Swimming Club.
Mr and Mrs James H Schmelzel of Ardsley Park will reside in the city for the winter. They closed their Ardsley Park home for the season and left for New York City last week to stay at the Hotel Pierre at 2 East Gist Street.
Mr and Mrs Robert D McBride thank Irvington Police and the Boy Scouts for helping locate their nephew Arthur McCarthy who had been missing from 3 20 until 11 20 Thursday evening He was found by John McBride Jr and Ralph Markley in a prompt response effort by local authorities and scouts
The regular meeting of the Senior Children of Mary Sodality of the Immaculate Conception parish was held Tuesday evening in Holy Name Hall. Officers elected for the ensuing year were Misa Allce Teway, Miss Elizabeth Th Mise May Fallon. It urged cooperation with these officers and hoped members would follow the example of the juniors in attendance and spirit to advance the Sodality.
Miss Eather Rutter of North Broadway departed Friday for her city home at 112 East 95th Street to spend the winter. She is assistant treasurer of the Robins Nest and an active secretary of that organization, with Neatag Mina Trotter keeping in touch with its affairs.
