Four Acre Strawberry Hill Estate to Be Sold at Auction
The historic Strawberry Hill estate in Irvington known as Old Eddison Place will be sold at public auction next week. The four acre mansion complex, furnishings, and outbuildings, including two thousand items from English to American periods, will be offered by Imper Auction Galleries under Westchester Trustees. Open for inspection Friday through Monday, December 2,4, and 5 from 10 AM to 6 PM with the sale scheduled to begin December 6 and continue through December 11 at 1:20 PM daily.

Music teacher injured in Knollwood crash
Miss Margaret Leonard, Irvington School music teacher, was injured Tuesday night near Knollwood and Dobbs Ferry Road Greenburgh when her car collided with a sedan driven by Theodore Ehrsan of Tuckahoe. Outdoor skating rink opens in Memorial Park area
The outdoor rink, built at the south end of the field, was completed early this week and covers about half an acre. With cold weather returning, flooding the area will allow skating this season, following a similar half-acre rink constructed two years ago.
