50th Anniversary of UCI Founding Honors Johnson Era
Attendees recall Lyndon B. Johnson’s 1964 dedication visit as UCI’s first campus ceremony. The scene featured Marines security, speeches by Chancellor Aldrich Clark Kerr and Gov Ed Brown, and a dedication plaque. Barack Obama will speak at the 2014 commencement, with original dignitaries invited back and Jean Aldrich attending.
