Great Park board structure eyed by council and residents
The city would appoint seven board members for the Great Park project five independent directors from the public and two city directors chosen by the City Council. Proposals call for staggered terms of four and five years, no term limit for city directors, and checks including annual audits and governance policies. The board would hire the CEO and legal counsel, approve budgets and by laws, manage finances, oversee park design and development, and present annual reports to the City Council.
