Major Winslows Cadets gave a pleasing exhibition of guard mount bar bell drill and drill at the Armory last Friday evening. The boys showed progress in military maneuvers with creditable guard mounts and masterly handling of squads. The bar bell drill is a new feature and their effort indicates diligence and growing efficiency. Fire at Hurley reported Monday morning at 10. The blaze began in the boiler room at Griff Thomas barber shop and bath rooms. Fire teams quickly fought the flames but the fire spread toward the roof as water was applied.
