Marshall CC assistant professor Graff will deliver the commencement address Thursday night at the Luther L Wright high school gym. 227 high school graduates and 34 junior college graduates will receive diplomas. Valedictorian is Miss Lucy Ruddell and salutatorian is Miss Blossom Reynolds. Baccalaureate services were held Sunday with Rev. Kaltenbach delivering the sermon and prayers by Rev. Prout and benediction by Rev. Schloss.

Therman G. Harris, a 1925 Luther L. Wright High School graduate of Ironwood, was presented a life-time guarantee Schaefer fountain pen by Dwight H. Rich, principal of Eastern High School in Lansing, for leading his debating team to the Michigan State College High School Debate League championship. Harris, head of Wastern High School's speech department, has previously won three state tournament championships and seven University of Michigan wall banners.

Morris W. Dixon son of Mr and Mrs Enoch Dixon of Vaughn Street Ironwood Michigan enlisted in December 1941. He is stationed at Camp Berkeley Texas and was home on a short furlough in April. Ironwood Twin City Club Picnic Set for June 7
The Ironwood Twin City club announces its annual picnic will be at Phalen Park in St. Paul on Sunday June 7. Attendees should bring their own lunches. coffee and cream will be provided. The event aims to draw former Ironwood residents for a large turnout. Reverend Theodore E. Johnstone arrives June 16 to lead Salem Lutheran Church after studies at Gustavus Adolphus and Augustana Theological Seminary.
