Mrs. Nulty Dies at Lake Linden After Long Illness
Mrs. James Nulty 54 former Kitty Ryan of Ironwood died at her Lake Linden home after a long illness. Born December 11 1886 in Bessemer she moved with family to the area. Husband James Nulty a Bonifas Gorman Lumber Co employee. Survived by son Timothy a second lieutenant and daughters Patricia and Katherine. Funeral held at Lake Linden with family relatives and local attendees.

Globe founder Frank Noyes dies at 85 in Rochester
Frank B. Noyes founder of The Daily Globe and longtime publisher of the Marinette Eagle Star died Friday in a Rochester Minnesota hospital after an operation for a routine checkup. He was 85 and had been named dean of American newspapermen by the National Editorial association last spring. He is survived by two sons Linwood and Eugene and a daughter Mrs Walter Keith. his wife Belle Carter Noyes died in 1940. Funeral services are planned for Marinette Tuesday afternoon.

Lawrence Mukavt z Shot On Monday
Lawrence Mukavtz, 16, was accidentally shot in the abdomen by a .22 rifle fired by Martin Osterman, 18, while rabbit hunting three miles south of Ironwood on Blackberry Hill in Erwin township. Mukavtz remained in the same condition at Grand View hospital after being taken there. Osterman was attempting to eject a lodged bullet when the gun discharged. Mukavtz drove to Ironwood and collapsed at Gogebic clinic before being rushed to the hospital.
