About twenty pastors gathered for a district conference of the German Lutheran church at St. John's church in Fort Dodge. Weather interfered but sermons and confessions were held, with a light administration including a Livr supper and a new chandelier noted in the church.
Jas Edwards of Maurice sold a team of three year old colts at LeMars for 390 dollars. Other Maurice items note J C Emery visiting Dakota to view land, the Trans-Mississippi Grain elevator foundation near completion, and a lecture course opener by Pyote Geerhart on the footsteps of the Centuries.
The Sioux City Daily Tribune offers a one year subscription to the Ledger for 3.25. The deal provides a full year of daily issues at a reduced rate.
