Picnic planned near Sioux County experimental farm

Holders of the Sioux county experimental farm picnic project for this year push for a June 24 date with Holden, Curtis, and Secretary Wilson possibly attending. McKee leads efforts to repeat the success of last year’s crowd of about three thousand. Prof. Holden plans to attend and outreach with agricultural leaders continues. Also listed are recent marriage licenses for William Clifford and Sarah McClain.

Memorial Day Program Set by Local Committees

Official Memorial Day program announced with services at Schoolhouse grove on Tuesday May 80. Comrades ladies of the Relief Corps and school children gather at 1 pm with a 2 pm procession from the hall to the grove for ritual work and cemetery decorations. Sunday services follow May 28 at 10:30 am at First Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. J. P. Linn.

Allan Negus spent the day with his uncle Frank Van Buskirk. John Hines and family called at Frank Eberhard’s Sunday. Planting lags due to recent rain though grain and small grain look fine. some work half done.
