Stewart Is Appointed Councilman In Hawarden Meeting

The Hawarden city council appointed D B Stewart to succeed H N Klinefelter as councilman. J Byrne declined the post. Stewart was chosen after a Tuesday vote. A special meeting discussed telephone pole placement on the east side of the road, with final direction to inform Mr Van Allen. resolution passed and the street committee chair briefed Van Allen.

The couple will live in the Bennett block upstairs. she is daughter of Senator Warren Garst.
