Tragic wedding near town ends with child’s death

A wedding of Fred Osterbour and Misa Mary Oiken last Thursday ten miles south of town was shadowed by the death of G Osterbour’s ten year old daughter from appendicitis after a stalled operation decision. The child died near LeMars before or during hospital transfer while baptisms and a dance followed the ceremony. Mrs G Osterbour is a daughter of John and Mrs Dirks of Ireton.
