Receiver W I Thompson filed the final report. the judge will likely order the final dividend at this session, possibly seventeen percent, leaving depositors about sixty seven cents on the dollar. Discharge of the receiver likely at the September term.
J He Pryor becomes proprietor of Parker Drug Co stock as ownership shifts to Pryor & Co. Pryor will oversee the prescription department and maintain customer patronage under his management.
Sioux County Experimental Farm Superintendent H H McKee invites all to a June 21 picnic with speakers from Ames Des Moines and Sioux City. Highlights include 10:30 a m talks and an all day lawn dinner with team parking available. The event aims to show farming is for everyone.
Regular meeting minutes note no candidate found at forty dollars per month for mayor marshal street commissioner and water works chief. A proposed west side water main along Third Street faces a sixteen percent yearly contract cost, estimated at two hundred dollars. Also reports adjourned in health board appointing Dr. T E McCaughan as health officer for the coming year. Special meeting covers Reading Township Telephone Association gains with twenty miles of new line this spring and expanded territory with LeMars line contract.
