A mob planned to lynch Will Davie in LeMars after a self confessed rape of Miss Josephine Wilmes. Sheriff Arandt moved Davie to Orange City for protection. The report notes a county jail transfer and a police pursuit across Minnesota.
Secretary E C Carpenter of the local telephone association calls stockholders to meet July 18 to elect a director of the Union association and vote on selling the entire system. Offers have been received and a sale requires a seventy five percent vote at two meetings. The measure previously failed.
The IQ caucus of the republican voters of Earle township will be held at the Center school house Friday evening June 2 for selecting three delegates to the county convention at Alton June 2 for nominating a township ticket and for other business as may come before the caucus. Reading township voters will gather near City Hall Ireton Teway Saturnia on June 1 to choose nine delegates for the canalr convention at Alton on June 26. A primary caucus will run from seven to nine with judges of the peace five constables and three trustees to be nominated.
