Iowa Eldership Meeting at Mount Joy Church
The Iowa Eldership of the Church of God will meet at Mount Joy Church in Engls townships starting Sept 7 with about fifty delegates from Iowa churches. Rev. A. E. Schwenk will deliver a farewell sermon Sept 3. The conference includes ministerial appointments and daily sessions with evening sermons, inviting public attendance.

Lightning Strikes House North Of Hawarden Injures Girl
The Younie residence near Hawarden was struck by lightning last Thursday. Nellie Younie, 80, was stunned but on the road to recovery after a bolt travelled via a damaged telephone line.
