A May issue of The Iowa Quest by the State University of Iowa journalism school aids June graduates in job search. About 85 seniors and 10 graduates receive degrees, with 30 senior and 5 graduate portraits and stories on training. The edition links employers directly to students and is free for participants.

Faculty Judges Lead Iowa AP News Writing Contest
Three State University of Iowa journalism faculty members served as judges in the 1950 Iowa Associated Press news writing contest. Arthur Wimner chaired the judging committee with Charles Barnum and Bernard Stern plus the trio guided the news workshop sequence. The best stories in each division earned recognition and the school will award special certificates.

Community Journalists Win Praise- Students Edit Two Iowa Newspapers
Iowa State University journalism students earned praise from W. J. Shannon of the Washington Evening Journal and Tom B. Powell Jr. of the Anamosa Journal for a farm edition and a 20 page issue. Six students worked on the Washington daily and six on the Anamosa weekly during annual field trips.
