Millionaire McClintock Crushed Saving Wife and Child
William McClintock, Chicago real estate magnate and former Plymouth County resident, died after a collision between his car and an express wagon on Twenty fourth Street, as his wife and three year old son rode in the tonneau. The wreck killed him after he helped attempt to brace the wagon shaft. The boy survives as sole heir to an estate estimated at six million dollars. McClintock, who rose from poverty to wealth through real estate investments, had returned to Iowa regularly to oversee farms.

Blacksmith narrowly escapes severe jaw injury from horse
Geo A Toppings, Eagle Street blacksmith, was nearly struck a fatal blow when a horse kicked him while he was shoeing a borex. The toe cork struck his jaw, the heel cork hit his collarbone, requiring stitches. He walked to a physician's office and resumed work that day, though face and shoulder remained sore.

Mrs Anna Robinet dies near Hospers at 38
Mrs Anna Robinet nee Hentges aged 38 died at her home near Hospers on Wednesday evening last week. She was born in Hissep Mersh county Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in 1809 and came to America with her parents in 1879 settling near Hospers. She married John Robinet in 1892, and they lived on a farm near Hospers with seven children who survive. The funeral at Hospers drew wide attendance with relatives from LeMara.
