Stewart a private in company B hospital corps who deserted from the U S Army General Hospital Presidio San Francisco on May 27 1910. He listed LeMars Iowa as his residence and Mrs Martha M Stewart as the emergency contact. He is described as white 28 with blue eyes light brown hair 5 feet 4 1 2 inches and 130 pounds with multiple scars and marks. A $50 reward awaits any civilian delivering him to a military post within five years from enlistment.

A three year old son of Mr and Mrs Fred Osterburht living seven miles northwest of town fell from an upstairs window onto a cellar door during hot weather. Alleged Wm Osterbur Arrested in Grant Township
In Grant township on Tuesday Deputy Sheriff Georke served a warrant on William Osterbur and brought him to Lees. Osterbur appeared before Justice Jones and pleaded guilty to assault and battery against Heerer at a neighborhood gathering Sunday evening. Sheriff Arendt was called to restore temporary order.
