Robert Schallon of 515 3rd Ave Le Mars Iowa died June 10 1955 at Sacred Heart hospital aged 85 He was born in East Germany June 44 1869 and came to the United States in 1903 He lived over fifty years in Le Mars and became a citizen in 1922 His wife died nine years earlier He was a Church of the Nazarene member and had friends including Mr and Mrs Herman Wieczorek Funeral was held June 12 at 2 pm at the Church of the Nazarene with Rev Glen Cantrell officiating and Wittgen Luedtke funeral home in charge He is remembered as a man who sowed happiness through simple acts of kindness and opened his doors to all
