Thieves Strike in County, Steal Four-Year-Old Horse

A four-year-old black horse valued around 1000 pounds was stolen from Mr Bocks pasture seven miles southwest of Merrill. Burglarized Omaha Freight Depot by Drunken Tramps

Sunday night burglars forced entry to the Omaha freight depot, stealing whiskey from a case. Two tramps, named A. W. Lee J. H. Sweeny and George Kay, were drunk and captured near stockyards. They admitted drinking the whiskey and claimed it was given by other tramps. They face preliminary hearing before Mayor Linden. A farmer later claimed his rain coat was stolen.
