Special Correspondence reports Miss Lizzie Gannon concluded a successful term of school in Sus Dist No 6 last Tuesday. Mrs F O Thompson and family visited relatives near Hinton over the weekend. Josie Cornish from Beresford spent time with the Newell family, and Annie Hodson with relatives. Browns business call noted Monday.

Siou x City visits and local social notes drive week

Geo Dikdiker and wife spent Tuesday in Sioux City along with Mrs Geo Little and children and Miss Anie Stewart who were there Saturday. Gratt Musser and son Alan were conducting business at the Sioux City Nursery Monday afternoon. Davis Yount a member of James K A R 4 spent Decoration Day in Kingsley. A large dance at the Ludwig home Saturday night included music by Robi Sherrill and guests. over sixty numbers were sold. Viola Woolworth has scarlet fever. I Sloan of Geeds is quarantined at home. Local fishing remains brisk after the river seine removal with James Woolworth holding the largest fish at 13 pounds. Mrs Cyrus Atwood hosted a social with a fine supper. Mrs Winjl Bornholtz and children visiting Moville relatives plan to return to Emory SD. Elizabeth Ann Lancaster and N A Hawkins of Seney married June 5 at the Lancaster home in Seney, ceremony performed by R M Kierney. Guests included Misa Tha Penning, Sadie Alderson, Maggie and Lilian Lancaster, Laura Penning. Newlyweds left on the nine o clock train for home 60 miles north of Seney to reside after July 1 with groom’s relatives.

Divorce Suit and Property Settlement Between Carpenter and Lizzie

Addiso Carpenter sues for divorce from Lizzie Carpenter after a prior $10,000 damage suit against Oliver King, settled for $1,500. He offers her his Potossa store and goods, stock, fixtures, and household property, and custody of Orin and Lillian with visitation rights, until the children reach fourteen. Mrs Carpenter admits adultery and denies charges. King concedes sexual relations with Mrs Carpenter and claims she knew of them. Pretty home wedding unites Miss Mae Boswell in LeMars and Mr Thomas Shepard

An elegant Wednesday evening ceremony at the home of Mr and Mrs Robi Lone joined Miss Mae Boswell of LeMars and Mr Thomas Shepard of Sioux City in marriage. Guests nearly numbered a hundred as floral decor brightened the setting with lilies of the valley and white car nations. The bride wore white French lawn and lace, carried a swan sonia bouquet, and was attended by Miss Kitty Swanzey. Rev G W Moore officiated. The couple will reside in Sioux City after August 1, with Mr Shepard employed as a freight agent for the L N railroad. Out of town guests included several Boswell and Swanzey relatives.

Warrants Issued Across County Funds for April and May
