The board of supervisors decided not to shorten court house hours from 3 p.m. as previously discussed. They said constituents pressured them after hiring new staff and Uren cut hours, choosing to maintain current daily closing time.

Halle Vieja Partners Union Ladies Auxiliary No 90 of Belle Vista Farmers Union met in Sioux City for lunch on May 28 after touring a packing plant. Mrs Mary Mosher presided. Jeanette Beaudhen gave readings and John Short sang. A plate supper is planned for June 11 for new members and cast members of the recently produced play.

Start Stone Work On Park Project At Lake Side

The park board plans stone work on a lakeside area for swimmers who will check baskets at a counter before entering the water. George Pew, president, invites public suggestions for naming the new park. Walton Koch and Bob Locke will oversee swimming this summer, with The Iowa Swims Co paying for lake use and providing instruction.

Miss Morford trained at Iowa State college arrives from Linden junior high in Linden Iowa. Miss Lieber a South Dakota university normal graduate who taught at Woonsocket Ss D. Miss Van Dyke a Morningside college graduate taught two years in Hinton intermediates. Miss Collins completed primary training at Iowa State Teachers college and comes from Sergeant Bluff consolidated school.
