Ireton Notes Show Ills and Visits Across Town

Local residents gather at city hall for a diamondball fans meeting to plan summer games. Community members visit relatives in Le Mars Hawarden Sioux City and Orange City as Miss Leta McMillin leaves Ruthven and school events loom. Perry Center Miss Dorothy Vehe of Sioux City spent the weekend with her parents Mr and Mrs Henry Vehe. Miss Vehe will leave for Lake Okoboji where she will spend the summer. Oliver Bonnes purchased a new car last week. Mr and Mrs Oliver McClain of Minneapolis Minnesota spent Saturday and Sunday with her mother Mrs M Petersen. They returned to Minneapolis Sunday afternoon. Mrs Clarence Vondrak was guest of honor at a party in the John Vondrak home in Sioux City Thursday afternoon. Mrs Joe Pordek of Sioux City was assistant hostess with Mrs John Vondrek. Mr and Mrs Frank W Scharf of Western Springs Illinois were guests in the David Swanson home. Saturday afternoon Dorothy Muir Lucille Howes Charles Griep Agnes Helen and Anna Vondrak are members of the graduating class of June 1926 at Central High School in Sioux City. Baccalaureate services were held in the high school auditorium Sunday. Commencement will be Friday. Miss Olive Fugate of Sargeants Bluff was a guest in the John Kavarna home Sunday. Mr and Mrs George Manz accompanied by Mr and Mrs Oscar Wycoff and children of Akron went to Mitchell South Dakota last Saturday to visit Mr and Mrs Randolph Peters. A large crowd of friends and parents attended the school picnic given by Miss Alta Vehe and pupils on Sunday of last week in Stone Park. A program of sports including races and contests were enjoyed. Relatives here received word from Hans Petersen informing them that he arrived in Washington D C on Monday of last week. He visited the United States Capitol and saw Congress in session. He expected to leave there for New York on Wednesday.
