Editorial Good causes harmed by unworthy spokesmen in Monticello Express

The piece argues two causes suffer from flawed spokesmen Adam Clayton Powell and Jimmy Hoffa. It notes Hoffa's eight year prison term for jury tampering and prior fraud, Powell’s alleged misuse of funds and lavish travel. It condemns defenders of these figures and praises leaders who insist people be judged by conduct, not race.
