Terre Haute Brewery Gets Ice Storage House Contract

Terre Haute Brewing company of Verra Haute Ind has let the contract for a large cold storage house for LeMars the building will be completed at once and filled with this season s stock of ice. Located on the Omaha tracks near the Union passenger station the 24 by 30 foot structure will hold a large supply of ice. Joshn R Orhagen has the contract for putting up the building and will push its completion promptly. J P Braden is the wholesale agent for LeMars beer and will push its sale in this locality to meet its large established demand.

District Court Hears Cases and Grants Divorce

A brief term of the district court on Saturday delivered a ruling in Trenery vs. the city of LeMars, upholding Trenery’s claim to peaceful possession of an alley adjacent to his barn. Zink and Roseberry represented Trenery. City Attorney Keenan and Muaroio and Martin represented the city. A divorce was granted Saturday to J. N. Butler of Kingsley from Margaret Butler after months of separation. Butler was represented by J. M. Wormley. Mrs. Butler by Shull, Farnsworth and Sammis of Sioux City. The court adjourned to Friday with sessions to resume.

Cronin arraigned on assault charge in local court

James Cronin, west of town, was arraigned in Justice Smith's court on Tuesday afternoon for assault and battery alleged by his wife. The court fined him $20 and costs. Attorneys Keenan of LeMars and Agnes defended Cronin with Nell Robertson representing the state due to County Attorney Struble's absence for a district court case.
