Mr and Mrs Henry Siebels hosted a Wednesday evening gathering to mark their fifteenth wedding anniversary with many friends in attendance Arlene Hauschild was absent from school for chicken pox Gert Von Hagel celebrated his 47th birthday and several local families joined the event The Black Heifer play at Brunsville hall drew a large crowd and was well received

District No 8 young folks staged a home talent show in Brunsville last Friday evening to a full house. Local residents Mr and Mrs Herman Schraidt visited Bronx City, Vernon Green returned from Oakdale and plans to stay home. Mrs Hazel Frey and Sioux City girls joined Mr and Mrs M J Eliott for the holidays. The ladies committee hosts a Puspidgy Eve night on Dec 30 at Struble Hall with Crowley's orchestra and dancing. committee plans biweekly dances inviting all ages. Mr and Mrs Jud McDougall and Mr and Mrs Jesse Peeblow are mentioned among attendees.
Local shoppers from Hinton Neptune area visited Sioux City Saturday. Gladys Diediker is sick with chicken pox. Frank Junck entertained at a card party with Hans Olson Martin Junck Fred Hansen Co J Vanderloo Henry Junck Jr Herman Diediker and others present. Fred Hansen Jr marked his 20th birthday with a party Tuesday night. Christmas Eve dinners planned by Henry Junck Jr and Mrs Ralph Andrews with several relatives. Mrs Ida Diediker of Leeds to visit in Henry Junck Jr home Christmas Eve. Hun gerford township Christmas program well attended. Most area schools have closed for the holidays. Wesley Dierking recovering from a bad cold. Mrs Tom Harderson held a large duck gathering and sold 64 ducks for the holidays.
Miss Lucille Monke and Fred Adler Jr. quietly wed at Rev. J. J. Vollmar's home in LeMars with sister Elsie Adler and Elmer Hoffmann as witnesses. The couple, both from nearby farm families, receive community well wishes for married life. Old friends and relatives gather for Christmas season and local notices follow.

S W Liberty Lee Kelly left Thursday for Willmar Minnesota to start a new home. Mrs Jomie ig jar husband. William Krie gest Sunday to Waterloo and Volga City Iowa to visit family over Christmas. George Berger Ruth visited Ed Beaulieu. Laurance Holten visited Wes Hamilton. Attendees at Thomas Erickson sale near Stone Park last Friday. Erickson well known locally. James Pavlie of LeMars visited old friends. Allen Dean visited A Beaulieu. Large crowd at Bill Trometer sale last Wednesday. Russell Welly moved to the vacated farm with Lee Kelily family. Ed Beaulieu and George Berger were LeMars callers Monday.
The first citizenship class of 1031 meets Tuesday January 18 at the Orange City courthouse with nine members. The 10 week school is conducted by Mr and Mrs A Te Paske of Sioux Center under the WCTU. A luncheon and program honor new citizens, hosted by the Boyden unit of the WCTU led by Mrs Effie Steinjes and Mrs C Clyde.
