Miss Lowene Truesdell, who has worked in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, arrived Tuesday to visit her parents Mr and Mrs E R Truesdell at their home.
A card party at Ovens is planned for Sunday night December 11 with welcome for all. A junior and senior band mothers sponsored event will be held December 12 at 8 p m in the junior high auditorium, bring a game or deck, admission 25 cents. John Koldenhoven was in Le Mars Tuesday arranging a farm sale for February 16 and planning to move to a truck farm near Austin Minnesota.
M R Faber and Henry Krogman of Remsen were business callers Wednesday. Winter term at Mankato Commercial College opens January 2. Limited fruit on hand offers 2 and 3 lb cakes at 60c lb. Call at my Remsen home. The Catholic Daughters of America plan their monthly social at the K of C club rooms on Tuesday December 13. A PT A meeting follows at 8 pm in the junior high auditorium with Supt L W Feik of Sioux City speaking on the Teachers Annuity Bill. Mrs H C Breckenridge will speak briefly. second grade mothers host refreshments.

He questions funding sources, noting the need to finance about 15 billion dollars annually while only six billion circulates. He asks how a 2 percent transaction tax would generate sufficient buying power and prosperity, and whether the tax would raise costs for finished goods and the retail price. He worries about the effect on existing businesses and employment.
