Wilbur Harrington on two week vacation plans to start sales job near Omaha around Aug 1.

Mrs Orpha Noble hosted Plymouth ladies aid at church parlors on Thursday afternoon. Mrs E R Taylor is reported sick. Robert Grogenhelder suffered a back injury after falling from a hay rake when frightened horses ran away. Recent rains have caused delays.
America Mr and Mrs Al Bortscheller of Sheldon spent the weekend with relatives here. Mr and Mrs Harvey Obermire and family of Atkinson Neb were callers here on Sunday. The Misses Jennie and Marie Levins who spent several weeks at Nebraska returned home with them. Mr and Mrs Tony Van Hoff of Orange City were callers in the Zimmer home Sunday. Miss Celeste Kemp is assisting with the work in the Kemp and Ney Cafe at Remsen. Mr and Mrs Anton Meinen of Jag City visited here on Sunday.
Seney residents Mr. and Mrs. Harry Noel and family visited the Henrich home on Thursday. A birthday picnic Sunday for Fred Rees brought guests including Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Penning and son Wayne and daughter Rose of Le Mars, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Penning and son Vernon, and Mr. and Mrs. Marshal Rees and their little daughter. Mrs. Albert Penning and son Vernon visited Hawarden on Tuesday with her daughters Mrs. E. M. Kennedy and Mrs. Ray Hinde.
Struble Miss Evelyn Nicholson drove to Hawarden on Thursday. Grandma Albers visits the Baack family at their home. Cleo Bollin of Le Mars spent the past week with Miss Joan McDougall. Charles Bertram of Ireton visits cousin Billy McDougall. Otto Oltmann birthday gathering brings dozens of relatives and friends for an informal evening and refreshments. Mary Mueller, daughter of Emil and, returned to Iowa City for continued treatment. Ray Beitelspacher and wife announce the birth of their first grandchild, a daughter born Monday to Sam Haudenachild and wife of Brunsville at Sacred Heart hospital Le Mars.
Residents report a busy period with visitors and local events. Mr and Mrs Robert Smith returned from Spearfish and hosted guests from Sioux City and Marcus. Local families hosted relatives from Orange City Hull and Chicago while planning the Ireton festival and a parish hall ice cream social. Weekend trips included Sioux City and LaVerne Minnesota.
