High School Beats Town Team in Narrow Victory

The High School basketball team defeated the town team 17 to 10 after a slow first half. Key scorers for the town were Clifford Perry and Frank Hopkins with two baskets each, while Hob Sperry added one. For the High School Lee Howell and Merle Blake hit three baskets apiece, Charles Pennington two, and Earl Blake one. The game preceded a match between Ione and Heppner Grammar School.
