The Women’s Topic Club gathered Friday evening with Mrs. Henry Gorger. The High School boys and girls basketball teams traveled to Lexington for a doubleheader. The girls showed strong play, with Lone leading 20 to 13 at halftime before Lexington closed the gap. final score 20 13. The boys played a fast contest with Lexington winning 15 to 14 as Lone’s team displayed equal grit.

Declamatory Work Attracts Large Freshman Sophomore Tryouts
Nearly the entire high school participates in spring declamatory work with Freshmen and Sophomores represented. New material expands selections for this year. Participants earn 30 points toward the Citizenship cup. Seniors currently lead in points. District tryouts follow class and school choices, with county and inter county contests planned. The program starts after new material arrives and runs into late March.
