Professor Burroughs Family Visiting Kirksville Course

Mr and Mrs Glenn Burroughs and son Lyle of Kirksville Mio are visiting Mr and Mrs French Burroughs on Rhea Creek. Burroughs is history instructor at North Missouri Normal School Kirksville. They plan to leave Sept 1 as school reopens Sept 5. Mrs Cecil Sargent and three children arrived Saturday from Bug and stayed with Rosa Jackson while Sargent works harvest crew cooking for Allen Gordon ranch.

Willows Grange hosts evening program and dance

A large crowd enjoyed the H. KC. program Saturday with a fine dance afterward. Grangita plans next Saturday entertainment honoring the brothers while inviting all ladies to contribute 16 cents toward expenses and bring cakes for lunch. Future events include September initiations, Checker Board Poultry Company movies, Pomovs Grange at Rhea Creek on October 4 with Aunt Jerusha on the War Path and a Carnival, and North Morrow County Muir at Boardman on September 16 and 15.

W F Honey and son John K Horney of Gresham visited lone over the weekend. Mark Weatherford ranch crews were in town. harvest finished and seer for the 2931 crop was to begin. Mrs Alice Wiles is at home after weeks of cooking on the Harry Yarnell ranch.

Miss Kiva Balsiger Closes Swimming Season At Heppner Pool

Miss Kiva Balsiger wrapped up the swimming season with an all day session at the Heppner pool. Mothers of her pupils joined the event for a forenoon at the pool, a noon lunch in the park, and an afternoon return to the pool.
