Prairie fire devastates East Fork area and hayland
A prairie fire of suspected incendiary origin damaged the East Fork head last Friday. It destroyed all of Frank Kelly ranch hay and much pasture, while Beltz and Crossier losses included hay and small grain from 150 acres. The fire reignited Wednesday near Maple and Wolf ranches, burning range with no further reported damage. Beltz offers 250 reward for capturing the arsonist. Several locals traveled through town, including Dink Cooper, Mrs Merry man, and K J Steen. Bob, a noted dry farmer, reported 1750 bushels of small grain and 50 bushels of beans this year.

Death of LeRoy Brosa at Pine Ridge Home
LeRoy Brosa aged about two years died last Sunday at the Brosa home on Pine Ridge. He was buried in the home cemetery after services conducted by Rev. Mc Campbell of St. LeRoy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brosa, never robust from birth. Sorrowing parents receive sympathy from friends here and in their home place.
