Hulett Schools Plan Reading Library Start

The Hulett school urges a small library of standard literature and travel books. Before Thanksgiving they will stage two plays Not a Man in the House and The Enchanted Wood to raise funds. Obituary of Harriet Gilbert Keller with long Nebraska life

Harriet Gilbert born 1838 in Utica New York died 1911 at her son Henry F. Keller’s home ten miles west of Hulett Wye after living in Neligh Nebraska since 1885. She married Henry N. Keller in 1861 at Canajoharie New York. Survived by Henry F. Keller and Margaret Keller of Sioux City. Funeral October 20 at her son’s home conducted by Rev. McRae. Burial at Storm Cemetery.

Disputed Note Leads to Robbery Arrest Case

About two years ago Asher Knepper and wife received a $500 note from Sarah Baker in exchange for a $500 check on an Iowa bank that later failed. Knepper then reportedly threatened Cashier Storm with a 30 30 pistol to obtain the Baker note, fled after posting a post office stop, and was bound over to district court after a guilty plea at a preliminary hearing.
