Next Guild Program by Red Cross Junior at Odd Fellow Hall

The Educational Guild program on March 20 at Odd Fellow Hall features High School acts and performances to raise funds for Hulett Jr Red Cross supplies. Tickets are by basket sale, no admission charge, with baskets bidding to the highest bidder. Activities include instrumental solo, readings, dialogues, flag drill, tableau, and a play by eight High School girls.

Alva Rochdale Company incorporated on a Saturday in Alva Wyoming with principal office in Alva Crook County. The object is a cooperative mercantile business with capital of 25000 dollars in 125 shares of 200 each. Five directors form the initial board including D F Irvin president Alfred Willson vice president J A Dirks second vice president Kilmore Engle secretary and B F Mahoney treasurer. Webster Davis of the American Rochdale League of Minneapolis Minnesota is the principal organizer. Bylaws set one vote per member grade capital stock dividends limited to ten percent and patronage based earnings distribution for patrons. Rochdale is named after the English town where the plan originated. John Wallace traveled from a nearby ranch with supplies.

Hulett Hotel Changes Hands a Month After April First

Hulett Hotel comes under new management after April 1 with short orders and meals served at all hours. Local notes report residents visiting from the ranch, a social planned by the Rebekahs for April end, and plans for a confectionery store and lunch counter opening in the McCoy building east of the Odd Fellows hall. The town also reports basketball a 46 to 22 win by Hulett over Aladdin and community business including a Peoples Cooperative meeting and insurance agency changes.
