Tragic Bronco Fall Claims Young Rider at Ripley Ranch
Raymond Reverd born June 1900 died March 7 from injuries after a horse fell on him. He rode broncs at the Ripley ranch Sunday morning despite warnings. After a few jumps the horse bucked and struck him, crushing his chest. He leaves a mother five brothers and two sisters in Powell. Messages of thanks from Anna Record Harry Record and DeWitt family accompany the notice. Oil strike reported near Little Missouri by Mike Hetty Oil Co near Polson creek south of New Haven. The well, located in section 3T13R, shows a flow at about 600 feet after two months on site. Sundance area residents eye oil prospects with permits on nearby ground. past drilling produced wet gas at shallow depth. This well lies about fifteen miles west of Hulett.
