Our Boys to the War Farewell for Newcastle Volunteers
Last Tuesday in Hulett a farewell for volunteers bound for Newcastle was held on C. C. Storm’s lawn. Gerald Tucker Ellsworth White Erman Knerr and Cecil Storm were among the four boys who departed yesterday morning with others from across the region. Crook County and six other counties report full draft quotas leaving thirteen credits in the county. Senator Vardaman of Mississippi voiced faith in patriotic Americans ready to defend the nation if the cause is righteous.
