Hulett Triumphs In Return Game Over Aladdin
Hulett won the return game against Aladdin last Thursday evening 27 to 13. The Aladdin shooters struggled on the slick floor of the hall while Hulett played throughout in control. Hulett’s lineup featured Henry Hrimmer at center, Charles Brown and Harold Chittim as forwards, Art Schlifting and Asal Chittim as guards. Aladdin presented Jay Heijde at center with Heetland and Hoffman as guards and Glotto and Gervaesi at forwards in the first half, then Glotto and Heijde moved to guards in the second half, Clemens refereed.

Last Thursday morning about ten o'clock the residence of George Carr county assessor caught fire from a defective fire and was completely destroyed. Not a thing was saved and the loss was heavy. Carr had recently completed a splendid new addition to his ranch home which they had moved into. Crook County Monitor.

Cecil Kester returned from Nebraska Wednesday after a month’s work there. A Rocky Crossing school program Wednesday afternoon was enjoyed by all. Some Proctor school bound children were sick Friday. A. A. Baker lost two cows recently. Lloyd Redding remarked that Santa Claus walks in without knocking and his hair stood on end.

A USDA survey across fourteen South Dakota counties shows 65 percent of cattle sires in herds are grades or scrubs and 25 percent of purebred sires are inferior. Using purebred sires raised average profits by 540 dollars more per herd in 1918, and removing inferior sires could boost annual herd profits to about 800 dollars.
