Bromine production rises after Michigan brine wells added

Government drilling of additional brine wells in Michigan in 1918 boosted bromine output. The six months to June 30, 1918 saw 842 458 pounds marketed by nine producers, down from 895 499 pounds in 1917. First quarter output was 350 234 pounds and second quarter 402 219 with widespread rebuilding and labor limits cited.
