County commissioners authorized a county agricultural agent new job. They oppose a livestock inspector but retain the sheriff in his current role. Farmers welcome the move and hope the agent brings practical training and neighborly progress to Crook County agriculture.
The New York Sun argues that tariffs under the Democratic administration have caused widespread ruin in sectors like sugar, beets, and wool, comparing effects to war. It calls for the re enactment of the Payne Aldrich tariff to restore prosperity and urges a 1916 replacement with another McKinley.
The Wyoming Legislature enacted a bounty law effective March 1 1915 to reward killing of coyotes bobcats gray or black wolves and mountain lions. Payouts range from 1.50 for a coyote to 12.00 for a female wolf and 5.00 for a mountain lion with sexes noted for wolves. An affidavit from two resident livestock taxpayers and county clerk verification are required to obtain a claim.
The Wyoming Farm Bulletin promotes building a cheap pit silo as the best value for 30 dollars, noting easy construction, no upkeep, drought resilience, and full feed value. It urges rapid adoption reaching a hundred silos this year and a thousand in five years.
C M Reed of Omaha, head of the railroad mail service for the division, warns that parcel post shipments of grain coal ore and sugar over short routes bypass regular drayage and inflate costs. To curb abuse, new provisions bar contractors from being paid for transporting parcel post matter consigned to themselves or for their own use. Vint Bloxom was down from the Missouri Tuesday.
William N. Proctor, age 71, longtime Wyoming resident and Nebraska emigrant, died Tuesday night after a long battle with weak heart action. Survived by wife and five children, funeral at 10 this morning at his home, burial in Storm cemetery. A brief life sketch will be published next week.

Blakeman named deputy sheriff for a month with possible longer term, Closson appointed deputy assessor, and tidyups urged for Hulett streets and yards with well painted buildings. Religious baptism services held in Robinson hall with several additions. Taggart and Thompson transport horses from Hulett to Cowley. Moorcroft Demokrat.
Last Friday Mrs Bostwick surprised her husband with a dinner for his forty second birthday inviting Treed Pearson Roy Bush and Charles Hauber. After whist the doctor expressed delight at feeling younger with friends rejoicing and hoping he may live to double his age while continuing to aid Hulett residents.
Turneaure and Gunderson owners of Hospital Pharmacy closed a lease on the former Golden Rule Grocery space. They will move stock from the Sheridan Inn annex and redecorate. move expected by April 1. Gunderson is visiting from Hulett to oversee the setup.
The Independent Order of Odd Fellows marks its founding anniversary with a Sunday evening service at the Hulett Lodge hall on April 25 at 7 30. Dawghters of Rebekah join in a program with invocations music addresses and periods regalia. The Gray family reports illness in their household.
