Killed Under Train Near Belmont Crossing
Earl E. Parker aged 35 of 1440 Colorado avenue Big Four yard clerk was killed Friday night by an eastbound freight train near the Belmont avenue crossing. Paul Neal a railway policeman found the body 200 feet from the crossing. Locomotives in the roundhouse showed bloodstains on an engine brought in by engineer G. A. Meeker and fireman M. Gilkerson. Conductor Charles Rwyersaid they did not know the train struck Parker. Police sent the body to the city morgue. Survivors include his mother and Ora M. Parker a Big Four yardmaster.
