Ungrateful Man Faces Forgery Charge After Check Incident
Everett Benson was arrested Saturday attempting to pass a check at Westing's sporting goods on Massachusetts avenue. Benson, of 424 Walcott street in Blooming, formerly worked for the firm. The firm posted Bond and a new warrant was issued. Initially police charged him with obtaining money by trick, a city ordinance violation, but the forgery charge was added after his bond was signed. Benson was to be returned to Indianapolis, with his police case continued to Thursday.
