At the synagogue and in the streets brutal killings and atrocities are described amid a frenzy of arson and bloodshed.

Jennie Ammerman of North Noble Street has been indicted and arrested under a new state supervision statute for placing deserted children in homes for consideration. The grand jury heard testimony Monday, issued an indictment, and a warrant was issued to capture her before she could flee.
Mrs. Mary L. Holmes sues George W. Hoffman for 10000 damages claiming her husband Edward H. Holmes died from inhaling oxalic acid dust while employed at Hoffman's Barkeeper's Friend metal polish plant. The suit alleges negligence for failing to warn about poison in the work and that Holmes did not know of the danger.

Three year old Harry Haskett of 708 East Maryland street was struck by an inbound C. H. & D. passenger train at the East street crossing at 1 o'clock Monday night. He suffered a compound fracture of the left leg below the knee, a broken arm, and scalp wounds after being knocked down and dragged a short distance. The child failed to observe the approaching train. severity of injuries could not be determined at the scene.
