The clerk later developed the plates and Judge Cox noted the images were not as bad as those on city billboards.
An unusual number of long term prisoners prompted extra guard measures at the workhouse. During a routine line move from dining hall to the cell-house, a small garter snake wriggled across the path causing inmates to scatter. Guards quickly restored order as the line reformed.

Special officer Roup arrests Springer and in police court Monday the son asks that his father be sent to an insane asylum claiming the elderly man has not been wholly responsible and is unfit to be with the family.
