John Church Ends Life After Fortunes Fail
John Church aged four lived at 516 North Alabama Street Indianapolis shot himself in a coal shed behind the home of his brother in law Thomas E. Dean at Ben Davis a Polish village west of Indianapolis. Despondency over health and business losses are cited as probable causes. He had previously worked as a bookkeeper for Bachman Milling Company and helped with Church Brothers Milling on E Washington Street. The family planned a Florida winter trip but his vote in the upcoming election influenced discussions with Dean. The body was found early Saturday by Mrs. Dean who is a private secretary to W. T.
