Court orders city council to appoint election inspectors
Judge McMaster of the Superior Court directed the city council to meet before next Thursday to appoint election inspectors. The council had been supposed to appoint in September but failed, prompting Merril Moores, a Republican city commissioner, to sue. WW Spencer and City Attorney Henry Warum challenged the delay, arguing the council forfeited the right to later appointments and that inspectors must be chosen on election morning.
