A fatal accident in Concord Kentucky killed Miss Lula Lind Miss Lizzie Lind and Al Pollick as a buggy returning from a party was struck by Chesapeake Ohio train No 4. The collision hurled the occupants about fifty feet into the air and they died instantly. The victims were prominent locals, children of the Lind hotel owner, awaiting burial arrangements after the tragedy.
ST LOUIS November 20 J P Joseph Burbridge McCullagh editor of the Globe Democrat who had been critically ill for days showed signs of improvement Friday raising hope for his complete recovery and his return to continue in his chosen profession.
A. L. Phillips, living beside HW N Mehels at 202 Bellefontaine St, grappled with a burglar as he emerged from the back door Thursday afternoon. The thief drew a revolver and threatened to kill, but Phillips kept him inside until he fled. He was later captured at a close by home and identified as Jas Gary. Gary has been stopping at the Oneida hotel. Supt Colbert will inquire further.
