Ground to Pieces A Railroad Worker Killed On Belt Crossing
Henry Lange, 20, a Pennsylvania Railroad employee, was ground to pieces after being run over by a passenger train at the Belt road east crossing Sunday afternoon. He had just finished cleaning coaches at Union station and boarded the train to Belt near which he lived. While alighting as the train moved rapidly, he was thrown beneath the wheels. He leaves a widow and one child.

Death of Lewis French 93 in Edinburg Indiana
Lewis French, 93, died Sunday at his home 210 Trowbridge Street. He was born in Hartford Connecticut and moved to Edinburg Indiana in 1850. Rev Thomas Goodwin of Indianapolis preached his first sermon at Mr French's shop. Remains were shipped to Edinburg Monday afternoon.

Old Soldier Killed by Lake Erie Train Near Malott
William Hern, an elderly veteran living at Malott Park, five miles north of the city, died after being struck by a Lake Erie passenger train Saturday night. The crew did not know of the tragedy until reaching the city and discovering a horse bridle hanging on the engine pilot. Hern’s body was found in a roadside ditch Sunday morning, with most bones broken. He leaves a widow. The funeral is set for Crown Hill on Tuesday conducted by Flanner and Buchanan.
