Louis Finkelstein, a jeweler at 611 S. 11th, offers a $100 reward for recovery of $7 worth of jewelry stolen two months ago while his store was unattended. The goods are with City Marshal William Richey in Frankfort, where a replevin suit was filed after the theft was discovered when Joseph Kesajer allegedly took items and pawned part with jeweler Charles Hom. Much of the property was recovered. about $10 remains unrecovered.

Mule wrecks freight train near Harding Kentucky
A mule strayed onto a freight train on the Illinois Central line at Harding Kentucky on Thursday. The animal kicked the engine and several cars from the track, killing engineer John Sheegog fireman Thomas Manion and flagman Caesar Hick. The engine and cars plunged down an embankment and the mule perished.
