Murder of Doc Lung in Indianapolis Laundry
Doc Lung, a prominent Chinese resident of Indianapolis, was murdered in his laundry at 207 Indiana Ave. between 11 p m Sunday and early Monday. His head seemed severed with a heavy cleaver or hatchet, seven neck and facial wounds, and blood evidence indicated he was killed in his sleep. A butcher cleaver with blood was found, coins and bank deposits noted, and robbery suspected as clothes and trousers were missing. Police and a crowd responded as detectives gathered near the scene and witnesses described the grisly aftermath and late-night Chinese banquet nearby.
